Based at the Jack Taylor Airodrome in Krugersdorp, we strive to maintain, manufacture and restore almost all aircraft types to the highest possible quality. Kevin and his team work together to meet their customers every requirement.
Our work ethic and quality has been inherrited through many years of experience and fine attention to detail, we also try and approach all our projects with a fresh and innovative perspective to ensure the well being of the Skyworx reputation and of course the safety of all the aircraft maintained and manufactured at our facility.
How it all started.
In 1997 Kevin Joined 43 Airschool in Port Alfred were he did everything from Spraying, to rebuilding and maintaining their Aircraft.
He then moved to Johannesburg in 1999 to join Aircraft Maintenance International based at Lanseria as the work shop manager! His experience at AMI varied from routine maintenance, to carrying out complete refurbishing of two Vickers Vicount 76 Seater Aircraft.
Then in 2000 AMI moved Kevin from the Maintenance Operation to their Warbird Restoration Facility. There His experience extended to rebuilding “The SAAB Safire,” Huey Helicopters, The Twin Engine De Havilland Dove, As well as a few North American T28’s and a number of De Havilland Tiger Moths.
In Late 2001, AMI decided to close the Warbird Facility and an opportunity arose for Kevin to start his own Business at the Jack Taylor Airfield in Krugersdorp. His passion for Aviation and paying attention to detail, soon caught the attention of a Number of well know and respected pilots such as South Africa’s Red Bull Air Race Pilot Glen Dell as well as World Tiger Moth Aerobatic Champion Brian Zeederberg, to mention only a few!
